An orphan soldier, Lieutenant Ram's life changes after he gets a letter from a girl named Sita. He meets her and love blossoms between them. After he returns to his camp, he sends a letter to Sita. Several years later the granddaughter of the Army Major is assigned the task of delivering the letter to Sita. How she fared in her mission is the rest of the movie.
